Here they come:

1. This is Vijay’s first release after he and his father supported Jayalalithaa in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. After the superhit Kaavalan, Vijay is working hard to deliver a bigger hit.

2. Reportedly Velayudham is Vijay’s costliest movie till date. For Vijay’s intro song the crew have spent nearly two crores. Two more songs which remain to be shot, will be shot in Europe.

3. Vijay is said to be doing a typical Rajinikanth’s Annamalai type milkman role, who bashes baddies with the help of an investigative television reporter (Genelia).

4. Mass entertainer stars Vijay, Genelia, Hansika and Saranya Mohan, Santhanam, M.S. Bhaskar, Sathyan, Pandirajan and Sayaji Shinde appear in pivotal roles.

5. According to director Raja, Velayudham will be a non-stop rollicking mass movie with all commercial ingredients packaged to provide maximum entertainment.

6. The buzz is that there will be a lot of punch dialogues in the film, in a bid to hit out at Vijay’s detractors.

7. There are 15 villains and 30 comedians in the film, which will have five songs and six choreographed action scenes.

8. Vijay’s love for his sister, played by Saranya Mohan, will have lots of importance in the film’s story.

9. According to sources, the comedy scenes featuring Santhanam, M.S. Bhaskar and Vijay made the entire unit laugh! So get ready for some rib-tickling comedy!
